A Prescott Man Was Arrested Charging Tools To An Account Fraudulently

A Prescott man was arrested recently in connection with two incidents where he scammed a business. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say they were contacted by a business back on June 21st saying they had an account set up at a major building supply store and someone was using the victim’s name to buy supplies and around $500 worth of tools. When the person was asked for ID, he got upset and left the store. During a records check it was found the same person charged nearly $600 worth of power tools back on May 25th. When the victim was shown the tape, he identified the suspect saying 42-year-old Scott Lynch worked as a sub-contractor for the business. Lynch was pulled over last Tuesday and was taken into custody. He was booked on charges of fraud, criminal impersonation, identity theft and theft against a business.
