A Prescott man passed away from an apparent medical episode while driving Friday morning in Prescott. Police responded to the area of Arizona Avenue and Moeller Street at around 7 a.m. on a report of a minor two vehicle accident. When they arrived they found the driver of a Dodge diesel truck unresponsive behind the wheel. Officers and paramedics performed life-saving measures on him, but unfortunately they pronounced him dead at the scene. Police say the man was a 50-year-old Prescott resident and may have had a medical emergency prior to the accident. The second vehicle in the accident was a blue Toyota truck. Inside were a 46-year-old and a 45-year-old, both of Prescott. They told officers the Dodge drove through a stop sign, a roadway post and then hit the passenger side of the truck. The passenger was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, while the driver was uninjured. The investigation remains open, pending the results of the autopsy.
