A Near Collision With PANT Detectives Turns Into Drug Bust In Prescott Valley Tuesday

A near collision with detectives resulted in a drug bust for YCSO’s Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking Tuesday. PANT Detectives were driving south on Highway 69 in Prescott Valley at around 2 p.m. when they noticed a white van traveling at a high rate of speed behind them. The detectives then swerved out of the way after almost getting rear-ended. The van then came to a stop in the left turn lane on Highway 69 near Stoneridge without further incident. When approaching the van, detectives noticed the driver, Tristan Odegard-Brown to be under the influence of drugs and detained him. Detectives searched the vehicle and found 200 fentanyl pills, burnt tinfoil on the passenger floorboard, and an ignition interlock device installed. Detectives also found another 10 fentanyl pills on the suspect. Odegard-Brown is in custody at Yavapai County Jail on charges of possession of narcotics for sale, endangerment, and other drug-related charges including aggravated DUI>
