A Mother Saves Her Daughter From Trespassing Sex Offender In Paulden Wednesday Morning

Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a trespassing call Wednesday that turned into something more serious. Deputies received notice at around 3 a.m. of a trespassing in progress at a home in Paulden. The suspect, 54-year-old Prescott resident Lloyd Beard, broke into the home of a mother, her 12-year-old daughter, and 16-year-old son, where Beard reportedly went to the daughter’s bedroom. Beard proceeded to touch the daughter’s face and get into bed with her. The daughter ran to wake up her mother, who then physically removed Beard from the residence after refusing to leave. Beard proceeded to expose himself in the yard before running away from the scene. The mother and her 16-year-old son immediately chased after Beard to prevent him from getting away. When deputies arrived on the scene, Beard was face down with his pants down and minor injuries from his escape with the mother. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and has since been taken to the Yavapai County Jail where he is awaiting his booking on numerous counts of aggravated assault, second degree burglary, criminal trespass, indecent exposure, voyeurism, and disorderly conduct. Beard is now a level three registered sex offender with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
