A Man Was Arrested Near Williams Friday After State Troopers Tried To Pull Him Over On I-40

A man was arrested Friday morning after he failed to stop as DPS state troopers tried to pull him over west of Flagstaff on westbound Interstate-40. DPS tried to pull the man over at around 8:47 a.m. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit began. Troopers deployed stop sticks, but the driver failed to stop. The pursuit continued westbound on I-40 and a PIT maneuver was successfully conducted near Williams, effectively causing the vehicle to stop. The driver, a 43-year-old man, was taken into custody without incident or injury. The man was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment of an illness.
