A KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft and three F-16 Fighting Falcons flew over the Navajo Nation, Flagstaff and the Prescott area in a flyover mission Thursday afternoon. The flyover was to show appreciation to those serving on the frontline in the battle against COVID-19. The KC-135 is from the Goldwater Air National Guard Base at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and the F-16s are from the 162nd Wing at Morris Air National Guard Base in Tucson. The flyover started over Gallup, then went over the Navajo Nation Capitol followed by Fort Defiance, Chinle, Kayenta, Tuba City then Flagstaff and then flew over Prescott. National Guard officials say the mission was also a refueling mission along with the flyover.
