Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a former dentist who is accused of doing dental work out of his home in Black Canyon City and then refusing to fix or finish the work he started. Deputies were contacted by two victims in Black Canyon City who claimed 69-year-old Denis Froehlich charged them to do dental work out of his home and then left them both disfigured and in pain. One victim had 13 teeth removed and the other had eleven faulty dental crowns put on. Forehlich then abandoned them and refusing to fix or finish the work. This isn’t the first time the “dentist” has done this. He was on probation in Maricopa County for practicing without a license. Deputies served a search warrant at Forehlich’s home Thursday night at around 7 p.m. Authorities found several weapons, meth and heroin-related items, along with several dental items. Froehlich and his wife Debra Lord were both arrested and charged with practicing dentistry without a license and aggravated assault. They have been booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center.
