A Flagstaff Man Was Struck And Killed By A Vehicle On Butler Avenue Wednesday Night

A Flagstaff man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night on Butler Avenue near the I-40 exit. Flagstaff Police say 56-year-old Kee Begay was trying to cross the street and was hit by the vehicle in front of the Subway on Butler. The accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Officers and medical personnel arrived, however Kee was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and remained until police arrived. Officers performed a Field Sobriety Test on the driver and there were no apparent signs of impairment. Authorities also say speed does not appear to have been a factor in the accident.
