A 42-year-old Cottonwood man was arrested Friday after police found two-grams of meth in his vehicle. Officers pulled over James Edward Stewart in the area of East Cherry Street and South Main Street at around 7:30 p.m. Officers detained Stewart after it was discovered he was driving on a revoked license. K9 “Kratos” performed a narcotics sniff on the 2005 BMW. The search turned up a little over 50 grams of meth found in a “hide-a-can” in the trunk and almost two grams were found inside the car. Drug paraphernalia such as syringes and a meth pipe were also found. Stewart was booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center for numerous felonies related to the incident. He also has pending charges on meth sales as well. He remains in custody on two, ten-thousand dollar bonds.
