A Chino Valley man has been arrested in connection with the sexual abuse of a seven-year-old boy. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 56-year-old Dennis Carraher at his home in Chino Valley last Tuesday. Carraher recently moved to Chino Valley from out of state when relatives asked him to stay with them because they had child care needs because both parents worked and schooling went to online. He had been with the family for about a month when the mother started to notice unusual behavior with the kids and how Dennis was acting around them. When the parents questioned the kids, the seven-year-old described a sexual act in detail involving the man. They immediately called police. Carraher was arrested and booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on a charge of sexual conduct with a minor and is being held without bond.
