A Camp Verde Teen’s Body Was Found Under A Camp Verde Overpass Tuesday, Soon After Leaving Home To Ride His Dirt Bike

A 16-year-old boy was found dead under the Arena Del Loma overpass on Interstate 17 in Camp Verde Tuesday night. The Camp Verde Marshal’s Office received a call at 7:45 p.m. from worried parents who said their son went for a short ride on his dirt bike from their home in the 15-hundred block of Boothill at around 5:45 p.m. and hadn’t returned. Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Public Safety began a search where they found him at the overpass and his bike roughly 100 yards away from him at around 9:10 p.m. The teen’s body has been taken to Yavapai County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine an official cause of death. The case remains under investigation.
