A body, that is believed to be a missing California man, was found in the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon Wednesday. National Park Service officials say 66-year-old Peter Schwab of Healdsburg, California was last seen on a river trip earlier this month on a small beach downriver from National Canyon. He was reported missing after a day hike to the Narrows in National Canyon. Park rangers recovered the body and based on evidence found with it, it is believed to be Schwab. The body has been transferred to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s office in Flagstaff to confirm positive identification.
