A stalled BNSF freight train tested nerves of commuters in Flagstaff Wednesday morning. The train came to a stop just past the Flagstaff Train Station at around 5:30 a.m. with a reported mechanical issue. The long train blocked crossings at Ponderosa Parkway and San Francisco and Beaver streets for over two hours. The train was moved out of the way at around 8 a.m. There’s no word on what caused the train’s malfunction.
