The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information into an arson investigation in the Paulden area. Just before 5:30 p.m. last Thursday, a deputy responded to the area of Grand Canyon Road in Paulden for a fire. The deputy arrived and tried to put the fire out with an extinguisher, but it had little effect. Central Arizona Fire and Medical crews arrived a few minutes later and were able to contain the fire. The investigation shows the fire was started intentionally. The suspect, or suspects, had constructed a homemade incendiary device which luckily failed. Witnesses tell authorities two juveniles were seen on a red and white quad in the area at the time of the fire. If anyone has information leading to the arrest in the case, contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip online at yavapaisw.com. A $300 reward is being offered in the case.
