A 17 Vehicle Accident Closes Eastbound I-40 Near Parks

Seventeen vehicles were involved in an accident on Eastbound Interstate-40 Thursday afternoon. Ponderosa Fire officials say the accident took place at milepost 175, which is near the Parks Exit off I-40. DPS says a passenger car spun out, hit a guardrail and started a chain reaction. At least three people were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment.
