The Arizona Department of Transportation has finished the A-1 Mountain Road Bridge replacement project early. The A-1 Mountain Road Bridge is about five miles west of the Interstate 17 junction along Interstate 40. Crews were able to accelerate through the project thanks to the reinforced soil-integrated bridge system method. The new bridge was opened to traffic today after being closed for only a little over a month. Crews will return later in the month of June to lay final striping and roadway markings. The project took four-point-nine million dollars to complete.
