After more than a month, Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona reached an agreement last week that will return thousands of customers back to in-network coverage. Talks between both sides broke down in February, which left nearly 12-thousand people in Yavapai County, who have Blue Cross Blue Shield, without in-network coverage. Negotiations got so tense, both Arizona Senators and Congressman Eli Crane came together in January to send a letter to both parties saying they needed to come together on a new deal. The two sides agreed to a three-year in-network agreement, which assures policyholders will get in-network medical care. The coverage is also retroactively effective April 1st.
