One person was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at the intersection of Willow Creek Road and Haas Boulevard in Prescott Monday just after noon. Police say an 18-year-old Prescott Valley resident was driving his 2008 Honda CBR motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on Willow Creek Road, when a 2016 Hyundai Sonata, driven by a 20-year-old Prescott resident, made a left turn from Willow Creek Road onto Haas Road when the two collided. The 18-year-old was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Sonata wasn’t injured. Traffic on Willow Creek Road was shut down for about five hours while the scene was being cleaned up and investigated. The collision is still under investigation.
