YCSO Is Reminding Residents Of Scam Calls, Claiming To Be From Their Office

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is reminding the public to be aware of scam calls. A citizen recently reported that she received a call from a “Sergeant Michael Lewis with YCSO” that included a fabricated badge number. The caller was seeking money off a supposed warrant. Fortunately after asking a few questions, the person determined the call was a fictitious one. YCSO reminds everyone they will never call regarding warrants or seeking funds to take care of warrants. If you receive any suspicious calls, contact local law enforcement immediately.
