YCSO Investigators Solve A Fraud Case While Looking Into A Different Fraud Case

Investigators solve a fraud case while investigating a different fraud case. Detectives with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office became involved in a case of fraud involving 49-year-old Marylee Moore of Camp Verde in December of 2023. She worked as a purchaser for an insulation contractor in Cornville. Moore had used the company credit card to defraud the company out of over $14-thousand. Moore was arrested and booked into jail on fraud, schemes and theft charges. During that investigation, detectives learned about another fraud case involving Moore that happened several years prior in Camp Verde. Moore had been the store manager at Ernies’s Smoke Shop. She had been fired from that job after it was learned she defrauded that business of more than $307-thousand. Additional charges have been added to Moore, including identity theft and forgery.
