All employees and volunteers with Dignity Health and the Yavapai Regional Medical Center will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, but now the deadline has been pushed back to February 1st of 2022. Officials say the decision to move the deadline back was to “give us more time to engage with our staff in this process and continue integration of key operational systems between Dignity Health and YRMC.” Dignity Health officials says the initial decision was made because of their commitment to providing safe care for patients and a safe work environment for doctors, nurses and staff. Dignity Health says: “requiring vaccination for our teams is critical to maintaining a safe care environment. Medical and religious exemptions will be available for those who qualify.” As of Wednesday, YRMC’s Prescott campus had 33 positive COVID cases and the Prescott Valley campus had 13.
