Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials are looking for clues into the hit-and-run death of a Prescott woman back in 2014. Deputies were called to the one-thousand block of Old Chisholm Trail on December 22nd, 2014 on a report of a resident of the Prescott Country Club, who was hit by a vehicle at around 6:30 a.m. The woman was 70-year-old Joyce Erickson, who died at the scene from her injuries. The driver may not have seen Erickson, since she was wearing dark-colored clothes and walking in the street when she was hit. A resident of the area told detectives they saw a vehicle do a u-turn in their driveway and left the area. Detectives have tried to locate the driver ever since. Authorities believe the accident was not intentional and wishes the driver would come forward so they can find out what happened that morning and put an end to the case. If anyone has information about the accident, contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Department at (928) 771-3260.
