The long awaited Beulah/University Realignment Project is set to get underway next Monday. Phase One will include the extending of present-day Beulah Boulevard northward to present day University Avenue, with a roundabout constructed at the new intersection. University Avenue will be realigned, east of the new roundabout, to match up with University Drive. Phase One will include stormwater infrastructure improvements and sewer and water pipe-upsizing along University Drive, between Knoles Drive and Milton Road, and within the Milton/University intersection. Typical work hours will be Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m., with occasional work on Friday and Saturday. Motorists can expect traffic delays, lane closures and detour routes along Milton Road, University Drive and University Avenue, and are encouraged to seek alternate routes while construction is in progress. Phase One is expected to be completed in the spring of 2024, with Phase Two beginning thereafter. For more information, log onto BeulahUniversityProject.com.
