As a major winter storm approaches Northern Arizona, the Winslow Unified School District is being proactive and is taking a snow day for Friday. Officials made the announcement Tuesday ahead of a storm that could bring between five-and-nine inches of snow to the city. Many entities in Flagstaff were meeting yesterday to decide what to do Thursday and Friday. Some announcements could come today, ahead of the storm that could bring between 19-and-25 inches of snow to Flagstaff by Friday evening.
