A windy weekend is in store for Northern Arizona. A wind advisory will be in effect for northern and western Coconino County from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday. Areas in the advisory is Flagstaff, Doney Park, Williams, Munds Park, and the North and South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Forecasters say winds will be 20-to-30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles an hour at times. A Fire Weather Watch will be in effect for Sunday for the same areas, but include Prescott and Prescott Valley. Winds are expected to be 20-to-30 miles per hour with wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour. With high winds mixed with lower humidities, it makes for the perfect weather for fire to spread quickly. The chances for Monsoon storms is slight, so dry lightning could become an issue. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will be in the forecast again the middle of next week.
