Wind Advisory And Red Flag Warning In Effect For Parts Of Northern Arizona, Including Flagstaff, Tuesday Afternoon

A Wind Advisory and a Red Flag Warning is in effect for some areas of Northern Arizona through the evening. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds to be 20-to-30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 40-to-50 miles an hour at times. The advisory will be in effect until seven p.m. for the Greater Flagstaff Area, Winslow, Holbrook, the White Mountains and most of the Navajo Nation. A Red Flag Warning will be in effect will be in effect for Holbrook, Winslow and areas of the Navajo Nation north and east of Winslow. A Red Flag Warning means high winds and low humidities will quickly cause a wildfire to grow, if one starts. If you have travel plans for Tuesday, especially on Interstate-40, use caution, and make sure if you are pulling a trailer, that your chains are up off the highway.
