A Williams man is in custody after he apparently fatally shot his wife and her sister Sunday night. Coconino County Sheriff’s officials say they received a call from DPS at around 8:37 p.m. after a trooper was flagged down by a man who was a driver of a vehicle on a county road in the Red Lake area. Officials say 60-year-old Gustavo Espino approached the trooper and reported something to the effect that he couldn’t take it anymore and killed his wife and her sister at their home. The trooper detained the man and called the sheriff’s office. Deputies arrived at the home and found 70-year-old Elanie Fann and her 65-year-old sister Vivian Scheuerman dead inside. The home was located on Pine Road. Espino lived at the home and is believed to be the boyfriend, business partner and employee of Elaine. He was booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility on two counts of murder and is being held on two-million dollars bond. The incident remains under investigation.
