Water Line Issues Creates Controversy At Leupp Elementary School

Water issues at Leupp Elementary School has created controversy. Monday morning, the school had a water line break which shut off water to the building. Flagstaff Unified School District officials say classes proceeded as normal, with the district providing portable restrooms, bottled water and hand sanitizer. However, parents told KAFF News they were concerned that classes remained in session and not canceled due to the break. FUSD officials say the water break wasn’t fixed in time for school Tuesday, but the “same structure will be used today, which includes water tanks to provide water. They have a water tank system as a backup.” There’s no word on when the water leak will be fixed.
