Two Men Are In Critical Condition After An Accident Saturday Between A Motorcycle And E-Bike In Prescott

Two people were seriously hurt Saturday as a result of an accident between a motorcycle and an E-bicycle in Prescott. Police responded to an area near the intersection of Willow Creek Road and Pinion Oaks Drive at around 10 a.m. Investigators say a 63-year-old Prescott man was riding an electric bicycle and was heading north on the shoulder area of Willow Creek Road when he attempted to turn across the roadway just south of Pinion Oaks Drive. The man failed to yield to traffic and was hit by a motorcycle driven by a 65-year-old Chino Valley resident, who had been heading northbound on Willow Creek Road at the time. Both men were airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital and are listed in critical condition. Neither person was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Willow Creek Road was shut down in both directions for several hours while the investigation took place. Investigators say they didn’t see any signs of impairment and speed wasn’t a factor in the accident.
