Two people were injured after a multi-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Prescott Valley. Police say the four-car collision took place at around 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of State Routes 69 and 169. Authorities say the driver of a 2009 Chevy Impala was heading northbound on State Route 69 and didn’t see the stoplight at the intersection with State Route 169 and rammed into the rear of a Toyota Camry. The collision forced the Camry into two other cars. The front passengers of both the Impala and Camry were airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. People in the other two cars were uninjured. All four cars had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Impala was cited for failing to control his speed to avoid an accident.
