Truck Leaves Highway 89, Down Cliff 20 Feet Friday Morning South Of Ash Fork

A single vehicle accident closed Highway 89 near Drake in both directions just south of Ash Fork Friday morning. DPS says a pickup truck lost control and went off the bridge and over the cliff landing about 20-feet below in a revine at around 7:30 a.m. Three people were in the truck. Two people were flown to the hospital with head injuries. The third person drove themselves to the hospital. The cause of the accident is unknown. The highway reopened at around noon.
