Prescott Valley Police, in partnership with the Town of Prescott Valley and Town Utilities Department, is asking residents to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs, safely. By properly disposing, the risk of prescription drugs getting into the wrong hands is reduced, as well as protect the community’s water supply. Prescott Valley Police Department has a safe disposal box in their lobby and are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Needles and containers will not be accepted. If you are unable to dispose of prescription drugs at a drop off location, the Environmental Protection Agency recommends mixing medicines with dirt, cat litter, or used coffee grounds, sealing it in a container, and disposing of it in your household trash.
