After several weeks of extensive searching, National Park Service officials are reducing the scale of the search for a Texas man, missing at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon since June 10th. Searchers are looking for 49-year-old Charles Lyon of Tyler, Texas. He was last seen at the Best Western Hotel in Tusayan. He abandoned his vehicle at the South Rim along Desert View Drive near Lipan Point on or around June 11th and is believed to be traveling alone. He is described as a white male, six-foot-three inches tall and weighs 177 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. If anyone has seen Lyon, or knows his whereabouts, contact NPS Investigative Services at 1-888-653-0009 or leave a tip online at nps.gov/ISB.
