The Crooks Fire is nearing full containment. Prescott National Forest officials say the fire has minimal activity and crews continue the mop up process. The Crooks Fire is 96-percent contained and has burned just over 94-hundred acres about eleven miles south of Prescott. The City of Prescott reopened Watson Lake on Friday. The lake was used for helicopters to refill buckets quicker to go back and forth on the fire. There are still just over 100 firefighters still working on the Crooks Fire. The fire started back on April 18th and the cause remains under investigation.
