There was some tense moments for a cement truck driver Wednesday in Prescott. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an overturned cement truck on Walker Road at around 1:30 p.m. Authorities say the truck was heading southbound when it came to a stop due to traffic and continued to roll backwards. The truck hit an embankment on the side of the road, which caused it to flip. Deputies arrived on the scene to find the truck overturned and carrying over 22-tons of cement. The driver was able to crawl out of the windshield and sustained only minor injuries. The truck and concrete were cleared from the roadway, but the mixing barrel from the truck was left on a trailer to avoid backing it out in the dark. The mixing barrel was set to be removed Thursday morning.
