Suspect Arrested In Village Of Oak Creek After Stabbing Her Parents Saturday

A woman was arrested Saturday morning in the Village of Oak Creek after stabbing her parents. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home in the area of Coffee Pot Rock Drive at around 5:30. A sergeant was first to arrive and found the stabbing suspect, 33-year-old Lauren Levinson, standing on the street near her home. She was taken into custody. The sergeant entered the home, and found Lauren’s mother and father injured from stab wounds. Her mother was badly injured and had numerous puncture wounds to her back and her father had been stabbed several times in his arm. Lauren’s brother, who reported the incident, was on scene and assisted the sergeant with life-saving measures on his parents. Sedona Fire crews arrived and took over treatment of the injured parents. The mother was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center and Lauren’s father was taken to Verde Valley Medical Center for treatment. Their medical status is unknown. The matter is currently under investigation.
