Suspect And Officer Are Injured After A Shooting On The Hopi Reservation Early Saturday Morning

A noise disturbance turned into an officer involved shooting early Saturday morning on the Hopi Reservation. Hopi Law Enforcement Services officers were called to the First Mesa Villages at around 12:40 a.m. While conducting the investigation, both the suspect and an officer fired on each other. Both were treated on the scene and taken to a hospital and are in stable condition. The FBI and BIA are assisting with the investigation into the incident. The identities of both involved are not being disclosed. There were no other injuries reported.
