A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for areas above 5,000-feet as a major winter storm approaches. The warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Forecasters say to expect heavy snow with strong, gusty winds at times. Expect nine-to-15 inches of snow in Flagstaff, eight-to-12 inches of snow in Williams and six-to-ten inches of snow in Doney Park during the Winter Storm Warning period. Prescott could see three-to-five inches of snow, while Prescott Valley and Sedona could see one-to-three inches. Forecasters say travel could be very difficult to “impossible” later Tuesday to Wednesday morning.
