State Treasurer Kimberly Yee has announced her intentions to become the next governor of Arizona. Yee announced her decision Monday morning. The Republican candidate became state treasurer in 2018 and is an Arizona native. As treasurer, Yee oversees the state’s $40-billion dollar budget and manages about $20-billion in assets under management. Before she was elected treasurer, Yee served as Senate Majority Leader and worked in the administrations of two past governors and in the administration of former State Treasurer Dean Martin. She is the first Republican to announce a candidacy to replace Governor Doug Ducey, who will be termed out, in 2022. To learn more, go to KimberlyYee.com.
