Some residents in Prescott Valley had to evacuate their homes Monday after a gas line was ruptured in a residential neighborhood. Central Arizona Fire and Medical officials say a contractor was working a backhoe on Parent Road at around 11:45 a.m. when the incident happened. Firefighters evacuated residents on the street between East Tracy Drive to East Ackland Drive while crews from UniSource Energy Services were called in to repair the damage. Crews turned gas off in the neighborhood and repaired the line. Residents were allowed to return to their homes Monday afternoon.
