Six people were killed in a head-on collision Saturday evening north of Flagstaff on Highway 89. DPS says a maroon Kia passenger car collided with a black Hyundai car at around 5 p.m. just north of Cameron. Two people were killed in the Kia, while four people were killed in the Hyundai. The “Navajo Times” reports the four that were killed were from Colombia, while the other two were from Kayenta. The paper quotes Navajo Police saying the Kia crossed the center line and hit the Hyundai head-on and that numerous alcohol bottles and containers were found in the Kia. The crash is under investigation.
