An accident involving a semi-truck forced the closure of eastbound Interstate-40 Wednesday morning. DPS says at around 5:22 a.m. a semi carrying fast food cartons rolled over and the trailer exploded, but didn’t catch fire between the Country Club and Walnut Canyon Road exits. Two people in the cab were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment for non-life threatening injuries. All lanes of eastbound I-40 reopened just after noon.
