Crews from Copper Canyon Fire and Medical, Yavapai County Sheriff and Yavapai Search and Rescue responded to a swift water rescue call Tuesday night. Crews were sent to an area of 1190 Park Lane and Beaver Creek in Camp Verde on a report of a person hanging onto a tree branch in the creek. After a search, the victim was found at around 7:35 p.m. in the Montezuma Castle and Beaver Creek area, which is about a half-mile from the original report came from. The victim was found on the creek bank, awake and alert with non-life threatening injuries. The person was taken out of the creek and to an awaiting ambulance where he was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities remind people that being close to a bank with raging waters is dangerous and to stay away from these areas, when flooding is taking place.
