A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon for Monday. A Red Flag Warning means strong winds and low humidities would make conditions right for rapid growth of a wildfire should one start. The National Weather Service forecasts winds to be 15-to-25 miles per hour Monday with gusts up to 40 miles per hour. Relative humidity levels are expected to be as low as ten percent. The warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. If you are traveling Monday and pulling a trailer, make sure chains are up off the ground. A small spark could start a wildfire. Also, if you smoke, don’t toss cigarettes out of the window.
