Red Flag Warning Issued For Friday For A Sliver Of Coconino County And Parts Of Navajo And Apache Counties

A Red Flag Warning will be in effect for an eastern sliver of Coconino County along with the Little Colorado River Valleys of Navajo and Apache counties for today. The areas include Holbrook, Winslow, Round Valley, St. Johns, Dilkon, Window Rock and Kykotsmovi. Forecasters say gusty winds coupled with low humidities make conditions ripe for a wildfire to spread if one starts. Again, if you are traveling today and pulling a trailer, make sure your chains are up off the road and don’t toss cigarettes out of your window.
