Red Flag Warning And Fire Weather Watch Advisory In Effect Wednesday And Thursday Across Northern Arizona

A Red Flag Warning and a Fire Weather Watch Advisory will be in effect Wednesday and Thursday in areas of Northern Arizona. The Red Flag Warning will be in effect Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The National Weather Service says winds are forecast to be 15-to-25 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 miles-per-hour at times. Humidity will be low as well. Cities and towns in the red flag warning area include: Winslow, Holbrook, Springerville-Eagar, St. Johns, and Snowflake-Taylor. The Fire Weather Watch will be in effect from Thursday morning until Thursday evening. Forecasters say winds will be 15-to-25 miles-per-hour with gusts up to 40 miles-per-hour at times. Areas in the watch area include: the Greater Flagstaff area, Forest Lakes, The Grand Canyon, Valle, Williams and all of the cities in the Red Flag Warning Area, along with parts of the Apache-Sitgreaves, Coconino, Kaibab, Prescott, and Tonto National Forests.
