A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Sunday for Flagstaff and areas of northeastern Arizona. The National Weather Service says the warning will be in effect from noon until 7 p.m. for areas including Flagstaff, Winslow, Holbrook, Williams, the Navajo Nation and the White Mountains. Forecasters say winds are expected to be 15-to-25 miles per hour with gusts up to 30-to-35 miles per hour at times. Humidities are expected to be low so a start to a fire could grow into a wildfire quickly due to the conditions. All of Northern Arizona is under Stage Two fire restrictions which means no campfires. Also if you are traveling, don’t toss a cigarette out of a vehicle and if you are towing a trailer, make sure your chains are up off the pavement. If you see smoke, call 9-1-1.
