Prescribed burns south of Flagstaff have been delayed indefinitely due to windy weather conditions over the next couple of days. Fire managers with the Coconino National Forest had planned to burn more on the 24-hundred acre project today and through the rest of the week, but high winds combined with low humidities forced the decision. Crews began burning on the project last Friday. Fire officials say burning on the project will resume when and if conditions are favorable to continue.
