The Prescott Valley Police Department is reminding residents and travelers not to operate a cell phone while driving. As of April 22, 2019, the House Bill 2318 was signed, making it illegal in Arizona to use a cellphone or an electronic device while driving. According to the Arizona Chapter National Safety Council, there were 57,514 crashes in Arizona in 2018, resulting in 810 fatalities and 15,689 injuries.
