Prescott Valley Police Hosting Car Seat Safety Check Throughout August And September

The Prescott Valley Police Department will be hosting multiple car seat safety checks throughout the rest of the month and into September. Properly buckling in and using the appropriate-sized car seat can significantly reduce the risk of serious or fatal injuries. Car seats reduce the risk of injury by 71 to 82-percent for children, booster seats reduce the risk by 45-percent for children ages 4-8, and seat belts reduce the risk by 50-percent for older children and adults. The car seat checks will be in the parking lot in front of Papa Murphy’s on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The car seat safety checks will be held this weekend, August 20th, September 3rd, and September 17th. For more information, contact Amy Stone at (928)-772-5162.
